Off the Street, On Their Feet: Sleep Out to Support Homeless Families

Sleep out with Nicholas House on Friday, October 13, 2017 and help the homeless families we serve get Off the Street, On Their Feet!  Help us raise awareness about family homelessness and raise funds to help more homeless parents and children get the services they need for a brighter future!

Every day, more than 1,100 homeless family members are on the streets of Atlanta.  Over 800 of those are children.  Families are one of the most rapidly growing segments of the homeless population.  While only 1% of the U.S. homeless population consisted of families in 1980, last year their share rose to 36%.  The average age of a homeless person in the U.S. is only 9 years old.

Do you believe that every family should have a safe place to live?  We challenge you to make an impact for the homeless families of Atlanta by stepping up to sleep outside with us for one night and fundraise $2,500 to support the homeless families of Nicholas House.   With your leadership, we can break the generational cycles of poverty and homelessness and help homeless families become self-sufficient.

To accept the challenge, click the “Create a Fundraising Page” button above.  By signing up, you agree to do your utmost to raise a minimum of $2,500.  All funds raised will support costs associated with providing housing, meals, transportation, workforce development and training, access to medical care, childcare, case management and more for homeless families.  Donations are tax deductible.  Once you have set up your page, a Nicholas House team member will contact you to help with the next steps of fundraising.
